My resume got me an interview, but I didn’t get the job . . . 

My resume was effective.  I’m qualified for the job.  I was prepared for the interview. I arrived on time for the interview. I was dressed right for the interview.  I identified my interviewer’s communication style preferences and believe I communicated effectively.  My reference page was prepared and my references were “at the ready” for a call. I sent a thank you follow-up note and even mentioned I’d like to have the position.
